When there’s anything wrong with
our health, whom do we seek?
Of course, a doctor!
Then what happens?
We take the medicine or undergo
the treatment prescribed and become all right again!
But apart from paying the required
medical charges,
Do we give anything more to the
person who saves our life?
Something which these persons really
deserve apart from the money?
Do we/have you ever thanked the doctor with a smile?
From just a cold to complex surgeries,
To even forcing death to return empty-handed
in many cases,
These professionals called doctors
or better to say healers,
Are always saving lives of people.
Not only treating patients is
there way of earning bread and butter,
But they also take responsibility
For our lives and also of the trust
which we place in them.
Of course the amazing power of
medical science
Does play an important role in us being
cured,
But more than that,
In my opinion,
The belief that the doctor is treating
us and that everything will be fine again,
Is what really normalizes us.
Just as we respect and thank our
teachers on the occasion of the teacher’s day
Or Guru
Pornima,
We should also have some *Attitude
of Gratitude* towards these persons
Who not only undergo education and
experience
Worth 6 to 10 years of their youthful
lives,
But also, because for many people every
day,
These persons become God on earth.
